I saw this Featherweight on Craig's list and I could not believe my eyes, I wrote to the fellow selling it and got the price down by $100 which included the cabinet to $200 so I went tonight and picked it up thankfully my husband is in my corner when it comes to featherweights it no longer ights. So wait no longer here are the pictures

pretty pincushion

we got this pin cushion at an auction on Saturday she is quite the little lady I have been doing research on her and this is a description I found on a web site

This figural Tudor Queen pin cushion measures 4 1/2" in height. It is in very good condition. The pin cushion is made of a gold-tone metal with a royal red velvet skirt for the pin cushion. The bottom is marked with a foil sticker "Gold Tone Product // N Y C - USA". A great item for a sewing collection!

Mine also has some really fancy hat pins stuck into her skirt I am thinking of selling her she seems to be a unique collectible in the fact I only found two references to the actual pincushion itself. I have a small collection of pin cushions about five or six but there comes a time when I get tired of dusting and would rather spend my time on fabric projects of which I am taking pics of my new one this afternoon to show you.

Isn't this a neat fabric its a Chintzy feeling fabric freshly laundered and pressed. The background which shows white in the picture is a creamy yellow color but the design itself is what sets off the fabric. It brings the eye right to the design of gapes and apples and small leaves all made into a wreath. It is a lovely fabric and would sew up into a nice window valance for a dining room or kitchen in no time at all. There is 4 1/2 yards in the piece for sale BUT about 2 yards into the piece is a tear of about 4 or 5 inches so it would need to be used along that line to divide it if you wanted to do so. The dimensions of the piece of fruity fabric are 34 inches wide by 4 1/2 yards in length the pattern is a lovely wreath of apples, nuts, and grapes measuring 15 by 16 inches in space. It is a repeat pattern in green, reds, and yellow on a creamy yellow background. The price is $22.00 plus shipping. I accept paypal. If interested please contact me via email.
